Welcome to Fierce Older Lesbians (www.fierceolderlesbians.org). Your privacy is important to me. This Privacy Policy explains how this blog operates regarding your data under the UK Data (Use and Access) Act (DUAA).
1. No General Data Collection
I run a standard, privacy-first blog. I do not require account registration, I do not have a newsletter signup, and comments are disabled across the entire site. As a result, I do not actively collect, harvest, or store any personal data from ordinary visitors.
2. The “Like” Button
I allow readers to “Like” my posts using the standard WordPress system:
- If you choose to interact with my content by clicking the “Like” button, WordPress may use functionality cookies to process your request and verify your account status.
- These cookies do not track you across the web and are used strictly to run this interactive feature.
3. If You Contact Me via Email
If you choose to send me an email using my public contact link, I will receive your name and email address:
- I process this information under the legal basis of Legitimate Interests strictly to reply to your specific inquiry.
- I will never sell your details, share them with third parties, or use them to add you to an unsolicited marketing or newsletter list.
- Your email correspondence is kept confidential within my secure email inbox and can be deleted at your request.
4. Technical Server Logs
My web hosting provider automatically processes standard technical server logs (such as your IP address) purely for cybersecurity, website maintenance, and protecting the blog against malicious traffic. These logs are handled securely by my provider and are automatically deleted.
5. Your Rights
Under UK data laws, you have the right to ask me what data I hold about you or to request that I delete our email correspondence.
